The New River Senior Center and Paradise Valley Community College, Continuing Education are offering FOUR new Holiday gift making classes. These classes are taught by Artisans with decades of experience under their belts. The instructors sell their artwork throughout Arizona and the nation, at art shows, fairs and on commission. In two different gourd classes, students will learn how to make Gourd Ornaments and Angel Pins. The Gourd Ornaments class is from 9-11AM on 4 Tuesdays, 11/8-12/6 and Angel Gourd Pins is from 1-3PM on 4 Tuesdays, 11/8 – 12/6.
Beginning on November 10- December 8 (4 Thursdays), Chip Carved Icicles is from 9-11AM and Russian Leaf Beading Earrings is from 1-3PM.
The fee for each class is $59 and there will be a $10 materials charge for each class (call Barb at 623.465.0367 for info on materials/tool use). All classes are held at the New River Senior Center, 48606 N. 17th Ave, New River, AZ 85087. It’s an adventurous drive through the Sonoran Desert to get there!
